Tinkers Construct Mod

Tinkers’ Construct is a beneficial mod that’s directed at players who believe Minecraft is inferior in tools and instrument personalization. When you craft a product with the mod, then it won’t ever vanish again, and you may alter it as you desire. Additionally, there are lots of substances that may be employed to manage your resources.
In light of the numerous crafts that Tinkers Construct has, we advise you to utilize the Just Enough Things mod, which lets you readily know them. In addition, in the following guide, we hardly scratched the face of many chances the mod attracts. For more information, we ask you to consult with the wiki.

Getting started

When you first launch Minecraft with the mod, you will have a book with 105 pages in your inventory that explains how the mod works.

To begin with, you will need to make different tables that we present to you below.

The different stations:

To make your different tools, there are 6 tables which each have very specific characteristics. It should be noted that the stations interact with each other if they are adjacent.

Crafting Station:

This station is similar to a Craft Table normal with one difference: it keeps the items after leaving the interface

Stencil Table:

This table makes it possible to create with the help of a blank pattern many patterns used to make pieces of tools that are not made of iron.

Part Builder:

The builder part allows you to create from an already defined pattern and the chosen material of the tool parts, be careful that this does not work with metallic materials.

Part Chest:

The part chest is a chest that allows you to store the different patterns on Tinkers Construct.

Tool Station:

The Tool Station allows assembling in one tool, the different pieces that it has.

Tool Forge:

This improvement of the tool station allows the creation of more powerful and efficient tools. This furthermore allows you to make tools or weapons which are exclusive to it and which are not in the tool station.

Note: You can also add modifiers to the tools in the tool/station / tool forge and repair them

The patterns:

Patterns are the first crafts you will design in Tinkers Construct. To get started, you will need to craft a Blank Pattern like this:

You will need to use them in the stencil table we saw above to create the different patterns for the tools.

Make a tool:

In this example, we will show you how to make a bone pickaxe with Tinkers Construct. To start, you have to make the different patterns that make up a pickaxe in the stencil Table:

Then place your patterns in the part builder as well as the material you want to use. In our example, it is the bones.

Repeat this with the other two patterns, and you will have the three pieces that will make up your pickaxe. Now assemble them in Tool Station like this:

Put the three pieces together, and you finally have your bone pickaxe. The process is similar if you want to create another tool with other materials. Remember that this technique does not include metals. We talk about this part below with the foundry.

The foundry :

The smelter (Foundry) is a structure composed of several blocks that allow the creation of weapons and tools with metals and alloys. This will enable you to melt the different ores, ingots, or even partnerships.

Here are the stages of its creation:

It is composed mainly of Seared Brick which is obtained by making Grout leather. To get grout, mix sand with gravel and clay.

Once put in an oven, you will get a seared brick ingot :

Then you just have to assemble 4 to have a block:

Make a 3 x 3 hole that you will fill with Seared Brick like this:

Then add a layer on top that will be used to store the ores you want to melt:

You now have the base of your foundry. For this to be functional, you are going to have to craft two things which are the Smeltery Controler and the Seared Tank .

The crafts:

Insert them at your foundry:

You now have the base of your foundry. By default, this one contains only 9 slots, but you can increase its capacity by increasing the size of its tank:

And if you click on your controller, here is the number of available slots:

Use of the foundry:

To run your foundry, you will need to supply the tank with lava. To do this, right click with a lava bucket on the Seared Tank block :

Once filled with lava, you will have access to its interface via the controller:

You can now link different components to the foundry as follows:

  • Smeltery Drain: Allows to recover the liquid contained in the tank and to make it drain thanks to a faucet.

  • Seared Faucet: Used to extract the contents of the foundry tank to another support.

  • Basin casting: Allows you to pour your metals there and transform them into a hard block.

  • Casting Table: This is a table that allows you to cast your metals and create pieces of tools, ingots etc.

  • Seared Glass: It allows you to store more lava or other liquid. If you want to expand the lava capacity that your Foundry can hold, you must place it next to it and must be placed next to a Seared Tank.

Make a mold for making tools made of metals:

Earlier, we showed you how to make tools with materials that don’t include metals. Here, we will explain how to mold a tool that can be made with any metal (Gold, iron, diamond, etc.)

First, it will be necessary to make gold in the foundry, which will serve as a pattern for your different parts. In our example, we are going to make a mold of the pickaxe head.

Place a Casting table next to your foundry and place a wooden pickaxe head on this table.

Click on the faucet to make the gold flow on the Casting table:

When finished, you will get your gold mold.

It is now ready, and you can pour iron, alloys, etc … into it.

The modifiers:

All of the tools in Tinkers Construct can be modified for upgrades, and you can view them in the book you received in-game. The application of one of the modifiers occupies a slot, for which most tools have a maximum of three.

To apply an edit to your tool, you will need to either use the Tool Station or the Tool Forge. Many materials improve your devices, such as Redstone, lapis lazuli, diamond or even emerald, etc …

In our example, we’re going to apply a modifier that increases recoil after hitting a mob. For that, we are going to use a weapon that we are going to put in the Tool Forge like this:

To apply the recoil effect to it, looking at the book we received, it says that we need to use a piston. So just put the piston in one of the boxes around the sword like this:

Therefore, we can see at the bottom right that the weapon now has the Knockback effect with a level of 1/10. This means that you can apply this modification 10 times to reach its maximum level.

Installation

Download the mod. Then find your .minecraft folder :
Windows: Go to the Start menu , then go to Run . Otherwise, do Windows Key + R. Then type % appdata% in the search bar and then go to the .minecraft folder .
Linux: Press ALT + F2 at the same time. You should normally have your .minecraft .
If you don’t see it, activate hidden folders with the combination CTRL + H.
Mac: Your minecraft folder is in User> Library> Application Support.
If you can’t find Application Support, do Finder> Menu Bar: Go + Hold ALT> Library.

Then drag the zip of your mod into the mods folder , which is located in your .minecraft .
Launch the game, and have fun!

Minecraft Forge can be really a Modding API which means it is rather simple to put in a range of different Minecraft mods.
