iOS 16.3.1 is the latest software update from Apple for iPhone 8 and above devices. It is the predecessor of iOS 16.3 that came out last month. In the following post, let’s find out some changes and upgrades that Apple offers in the latest iOS and iPadOS version. The software is 334MB and you might download starting from a few days ago already. However, you might want to know what’s new that we are going to discuss in the following post right here.

Enhanced Crash Detection

The latest iPhone 14 series has been featured with the new crash detection alert. It is said to be one of the helpful upgrades that will send alerts to emergency services once it detects that the user is involved in a crash. It sounds perfectly alright until there were a few false alerts which were sent even when there was no crash at all. Therefore, Apple is aware of this case and making an effort to improve this feature. Clearly, it was not fully developed. That explains the imperfect performance which might cause a lot more inconvenience other than being actually helpful.

iCloud Settings

Several users have complained of the iOS 16.3 that they find flaws while disabling and enabling the automatic iCloud backups on their devices. It is among the bugs that Apple is going to fix in the latest version.

Find My Requests Via Siri

It is also one another bug that Apple is going to repair in the current version. Users have noted that they could not request a Find My Device request via Siri. Therefore, they have to actually open the app and do it manually. This bug is not actually a big deal but should definitely be improved immediately. Compared to other virtual assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Microsoft’s Cortana, Siri seems to be falling behind quite a great deal.

HomePod

On the heels of the launch of the second generation HomePod, the HomePod app is also getting an upgrade. The company stated “This update addresses an issue where asking Siri for smart home requests may fail, and also includes general performance and stability improvements.” The second gen HomePod works as a smart speaker that you might play music through your Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. It was introduced in January and comes in two colors, Midnight (black) and white. For more updated news, visit our website regularly.
