The Way to Set up a Pixelmon Mod?

Make sure you have set up the API that’s recommended with Pixelmon Mod. This is suggested in the download links. After download mod, then find your .minecraft folder:

Pokémon

Pokémon, like in Nintendo’s game, are categorized by types. There are several types (Insect, Dark, Dragon, Electric, Combat, Fire, Flight, Specter, Plant, Ground, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Stone, Steel, Water), which will define the weaknesses and advantages of pokemon.

For example, a fire-type pokemon will take twice as much damage if the opposing pokemon’s attack is ice-type. The mod features 809 pokemon, different or less rare, and will appear according to their environment (day, night, and biomes). Pokémon evolve according to their level (going up to 100).

The higher their group, the stronger they will be and have powerful attacks. To increase the status of your pokémon and thus make them evolve, you will have to fight other Pokémon and defeat them. The stronger your opponents, the more experience they will earn you.

Pokémon also have their unique stats (attack, defense, speed, attack speed, and defense speed). Pokémon can also come in different sizes and shapes and will occasionally give you items once killed. To capture them, you will have to use pokeballs, which will be more or less effective depending on their form.

Getting started with Pixelmon:

First of all, when you create a new map, you will have to choose your first pokemon among the different “starters” available. This will then be transferred to the bar on the left of your screen (resizable with the “O” key ).

Once your pokemon has been chosen, you can send it into battle with the “R” key. When you have several pokémon, you have to press ↑ & ↓make them move in your interface. At the top of your interface bar, the pokemon will be your main pokemon and will be sent into battle first.

Then, to make your comrades gain levels, and thus make them stronger, there are several methods:

The first is to solo fight other pokemon. Beating them will earn you more or less experience depending on their level. This technique is simple, but effective in the long run.

The second is to have a high level Pokémon, as well as a very low level Pokémon against your opponents. You just have to make your low level pokémon fight first, and switch pokémon in the first turn, to defeat the enemy and gain experience for both pokémon.
The third, more expensive, will allow you to level up any of your pokémon. To make it, you will have to make a “ Rare Candy ”, to be used preferably on a high level Pokémon, because the ingredients necessary for its manufacture are unusual.

Capture a pokemon:

Before capturing a pokemon, you will have to make a Pokeball. There are several, each with different characteristics. You can find all the crafts via the mod wiki.

To make the classic Pokeball, here are the different steps to follow:

Start by making an anvil and a wooden hammer. The anvil will allow you to deposit the various necessary resources and the hammer to make them.

You will then have to create the upper part of the pokéball; this is what will make its specificity. For that, you will need an oven, fuel, and nuts. These can be picked by right-clicking on a shrub with noigrumes.

Once the three elements are made, just place them in your crafting table to get the pokeball.

Once you have the necessary materials, find the Pokémon you want. Keep in mind that Pokémon appear in different biomes and times, and some are rarer than others. Some Pokémon can’t even be found in the wild. Some, namely Legendary Pokémon, Fossil Pokémon, and Porygon, are obtained by unique methods.

So, once you find your target Pokémon, could you send in your Pokémon and fight it? While it’s possible to throw a Pokéball and catch it immediately, weakening the Pokémon will increase your chances of seeing it. If you can inflict a condition such as a paralysis and sleep, your chances of success will increase further. Different types of Pokéballs work best in different situations. So keep in mind that the difficulty of catching other species of Pokémon varies depending on their catch rate. Once they are weakened, go to your bag through the combat menu and select a Pokeball or another of your choice. If the capture is successful, the Pokeball will stop shaking, and a message will appear to inform you that the Pokémon has been captured.

It is also possible to throw a Pokeball outside of a fight using the item. You have to aim at the pokemon, and if you miss it, the Pokeball may break. If it fails, you can recover its components to make it again.

The pokemon interface:

To view your Pokémon summary, press the “E” KEY (default) to open your inventory. Next to your character, you’ll see 6 slots displaying your Pokémon’s sprites. Right-click on the image of the Pokémon you want to view. A graphical window allowing you to select a summary, its attacks, or its statistics appear. Left-click on the one you want to see, and another GUI will appear, showing you your Pokémon information.

If you want to have more than 6 Pokémon, you will need a pc to store them. You can find it in pokemon centers that appear randomly or craft it this way:

Once the PC is found or made, click on it. This will open the PC GUI, and you will find the Pokémon that have been sent to the PC, and you can put Pokémon in it as well. If you no longer wish to have a pokemon, you can release it by selecting it and then clicking on the trash can icon. To view the summary of a Pokémon on the PC, right-click on the pokémon and select the information section.

Heal your pokemon:

To heal your pokémon, you can either use a heal station or the bed. The downside of the bed is that it is necessary to wait until the night before treating them. The healing station can be found in a pokemon center, or you can craft it as follows:

Fossils :

Boulders of fossils can be found in gravel piles at heights ranging from 12 to 50. These are pretty rare finds, so it may take some time to find them. They will happen before the gravel in the world starts to fall due to gravity, which keeps in mind while looking for them. Unlike the rock that surrounds them, fossil blocks are not affected by gravity.

Evolve a pokemon with an evolution stone:

A pokemon such as Eevee has several types of evolutions depending on the stone you give it. To get the Evolution Stone, you will need to collect 9 Shards. These are obtainable via elemental stone ores, which you will have to extract with a pickaxe.

Once the elemental stone is made, you have to use it on the pokemon you want to evolve. It will take the evolution that corresponds to the element of the evolution stone.
